Women’s Round-Up

Friday evening saw Wexford Bohs host Aughrim Rangers young side and after a seven goal thriller, it was the girls from Wicklow who left with the three wins as they edged out 4-3 winners. An own goal, Caiterina Kelly and a Denise Leniston penalty made up the Bohs tally while two goals each from Laci Jane Shannon and Livia McDonagh saw Aughrim take the three points in this tier two game.

On Sunday, Forth Celtic justified their positions as favourites for tier one competition as they travelled to Corach Ramblers and came away 7-0 winners. Sarah Siggins scored a hat trick with Chloe Connelly, Louiza Donnelly, Aleisha Cullen and Saoirse O Brien also finding the net.

Cushinstown picked up their first win in tier two when they travelled to Moyne Rangers and won 3-1 thanks to a hat trick from Ellie Nugent while Kerry Burt was on target for Moyne
