Women’s League Round-Up

North End and Forth Celtic played out a 2-2 draw in Drinagh on Sunday morning, a point that ensures the home sides premier place for next season and relegates Cloughbawn back to division one. Niamh Tormey and Cara McDonald were on target for North End while Niamh Taylor Hughes and Ruth Hendrick were on target for Forth. Seaview kept their hopes of retaining their premier title when they overcame Adamstown 2-1 with goals from Stephanie Foley and Rebecca Ritchie while Ciara Booth scored for Adamstown.

Kilmore moved second in Division One after a 4-0 win away to Bree and a point in Camolin next Sunday will see them promoted to the premier division. Chloe Bates, Roisin Furlong, Cora Miller and Chloe Troy were all on the scoresheet for the winners

Corach Ramblers wrapped up the Division Two title when they overcame a stubborn Tombrack side 2-1. Both sides are promoted but Tombrack needed to win to keep alive their slim chances to winning the division. Sal Eustace gave Ramblers the lead with Kelli Maguire equalising for Tombrack before Shannon McDonald scored what proved to be the decisive goal for the home side. League committee member Barry Dempsey was on hand to present the Corach side with their league trophy as they secure the second part of a potential treble.

In the other game in this division Stoney overcame Fastnet 2-1 thanks to goals from Shendah Moran and Lisa Marie Doyle while Kathlynn Gabbett scored for Fastnet

Cushinstown travelled to Shelburne in the Division Three Cup Quarter Final and caused a minor upset when overcoming the home side 2-1 Chloe Byrne scored a penalty for the home side but two goals from Eimear Whelan saw Cushinstown through to the semi-finals
