Forth still on course for a treble

Women’s League Round-Up

The big game of the day saw Forth Celtic remain on course for a treble as they overcame Seaview United 4-1 in the quarter final of the Wexford Cup in a game that was closer than the scoreline suggests. Seaview could have went ahead early in the game when awarded a penalty but it was well saved by Megan Butler and paid the ultimate price when Sarah Siggins put Forth ahead shortly after. Jess Devereux levelled for Seaview on the stroke of half time but Celtic went back in front in the first minute of the second half when Natasha Byrne Rossiter scored. Seaview battled hard for the equaliser but picked up two nasty injuries in the second half which reduced them to ten players and goals from Lynn Marie Grant and Sarah...
