Schoolgirls Round-Up

With the league eventually reaching it’s official conclusion of the 2019-20 season, the league committee were handed a conundrum when the weekend results ensured there would be at least one runners up play off and the distinct possibility of a second. On Friday evening, Coolboy travelled to Cushinstown needing just a point to secure second place in Under Fourteen Division Two B but found the home side in flying form and a Peig Waters hat trick and a goal from Leah Doyle saw them run out 4-2 winners. Seren Byrne and Jessie Waters were on target for Coolboy. Saturday saw Gorey Rangers go joint second in the Under Twelve Premier Division with a comprehensive 4-0 win over All Blacks courtesy of two goals from Grace Beesley and one each from Ellie Larkin and Jodi Rapple. What can be done to play these play offs will be decided by the committee during the week
