Schoolgirl Round-Up
Two very exciting Under Eleven league finals saw the Schoolgirls league move one step closer to completion with Gorey Rangers and St Josephs lifting the premier and division one titles respectively. Gorey were in Bridge Rovers and a ding dong battle saw both sides be in front but being pegged back before Rangers eventually won 3-2 to secure the Under Eleven Premier title. St Josephs and Campile United shared seven goals in Kilmuckridge before the home side eventually ran out 4-3 winners. With the game deadlocked at 3-3, Campile could have won it when breaking through on goal twice, but both shots skimmed the wrong the size of the post and with minutes to go, St Josephs went down the other end and scored what proved to be the winner. The standard of both these finals show that skill level within the league is at al all time and the future of the female looks very bright.
