Schoolgirls League Round-Up

The line-up for the last sixteen of the Under Twelve Schoolgirls Cup is now known as the weather eventually eased off enough to allow several games to go ahead. Rosslare Rangers Navy travelled to New Ross Celtic and came away 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Eabha Griffin, Izzy Finney and two goals from Caoimhe Corish. A young Rosslare Rangers Yellow side were no match for one of the competition favourites and despite a battling performance were well beaten by Ballindaggin. Goals from Keira Carroll, Ciara Murphy, Lucy Hayes, Paige Gainfort and Eve Howlin saw a very clinical Bridge Rovers side overcome Cushinstown. Gorey Rangers also booked their place in the second round as two goals from Rebecca Keating and one each from Roisin Redmond and Grace Beesley saw them beat Forth Celtic 4-0. All Blacks travelled to Bunclody and came away 5-1 winners with Chloe Leybourne scoring for the home side while Eva Smith and Jolie Rankin scored two each for the winners with Sinead Mulligan also getting her name on the scoresheet. St Leonards also progressed to the last sixteen as they overcame North End on a 4-1 scoreline with Sophie Kinsella on target for the visitors and Courtney Whelan, Sophie Rossiter and two from Katie Ryan made up St Leonards total.

In the Under Twelve Premier Division, two of the title favourites, Curracloe and New Ross Town played out an entertaining 1-1 draw with Aoibhinn Downey on target for Town while in Division One Shelburne and Rosslare Strand played out a high scoring 3-3 draw. Abbey Cowman scored two with Lily O Reilly also on target. Erin Donlon and Caitlin Whelan both scored for Coolboy Rangers as they overcame Corach Ramblers 2-1 after coming from a goal behind

Between Gaynor Cup fixtures and weather, only one game survived at Under Sixteen level with Seaview United overcoming All Blacks 2-1. Sinead Cullen was on target for All Blacks while Ava White Keating scored both goals for the winners
