Wexford Schoolgirls League Under Thirteen and Under Fifteen squads were in action in Gaynor Cup qualifiers as they entertained the Midlands Schoolboys/girls League in Bunclody. The Under Fifteens were first into action and after their opening day 10-1 win away to Kildare, they were confident of pushing on for another three points to increase their chances of qualifying for the Gaynor Cup finals in July. Wexford started well with a goal from Ella Nolan but within seven minutes, Midlands were back level but that was all the visitors were allowed as Wexford took control and two goals from Emma Cullen and one each from Olivia Morris and Aoibh Thomas saw Wexford run out comfortable 5-1 winners.
