Saturday May 12th 2018 will go down as a historic day in the history of soccer in Wexford as the day a club from the league finally lifted the FAI Junior Cup after reaching the quarter finals and semi finals on several occasions in the past. The Wexford town side had reached the final in fine style with impressive away wins over Killarney Celtic and St Michaels so they went into this final fully confident in their own ability and from the moment the game kicked off, it was evident that they were well prepared and they were not allowing the big occasion get to them
