Schoolgirls Round-Up
The first games of the Wexford Schoolgirls League Summer season kicked off on Saturday with New Ross Town and Curracloe United being the historic game that began a new era in the game in the county. Their Under Fourteen premier division game kicked off at 10am. Emma Rossiter scored the only goal of the game ten minutes in to secure a 1-0 win for Town in a very competitive hard fought encounter between two sides who will be well in contention for the title right to the end. The game was marred by a nasty injury to Curracloe’s Emma Cullen midway through the second half when she picked up a nasty head injury in a fall which required her to be removed to hospital by ambulance.
